Mobile Passport enables eligible arriving guests to submit passport and customs declaration information via their iOS or Android device instead of the traditional paper form.
Simply download the Mobile Passport app from the App Store or Google Play and set up a profile with your passport data. The app is available at no cost.

How it Works
When entering the U.S., complete the “New Trip” section of the app:
- Select arrival airport and airline
- Take a “selfie” photo
- Answer standard Customs and Border Protection (CBP) customs declaration questions
Upon arriving at SFO use the app to send your information along with your profile data to CBP.
At the Airport
After reviewing the submission, CBP will send a digital, secure bar-coded receipt to your mobile device via the app. Once you have your receipt, proceed through the arrivals area following the Mobile Passport Control signs until prompted by CBP to scan your receipt and present your passport. Unless further inspection is necessary, you have entered the U.S. and can proceed to baggage claim and Customs.

SFO is one of 24 airports in the United States to offer Mobile Passport Control express lanes in its Federal Inspection Area. The Mobile Passport express lanes were available at SFO in July 2015. In April 2016, SFO introduced the Automated Passport Kiosks. Both programs help eligible travelers expedite the federal arrival process.
